Kashmir is a disputed territory, Spokesperson of Islamic court clarifies

Not said Kashmir is crown of India

Srinagar: The spokesperson of Islamic court has denied statement attributed to Grand Mufti referring Kashmir as crown of India .

"We are surprised to read the news Item stating "Kashmir as the crown of India" attributed to the Grand Mufti of Jammu & Kashmir which is an attempt to malign him.

The spokesperson of Islamic court clarified that the statement issued with regards to the Article 370 Grand Mufti has made it clear that Kashmir is not integral part of India and abrogation of article 370 is an intrigue to change the demography of Kashmir. We would like the people of Kashmir to remain vigilant to the various agencies who are plying role on behalf of Indian intelligence agencies to divide us and weaken our unity.

The Grand Mufti's position of the Kashmir dispute is clear and we clearly view India as an aggressor in this region, involved in killing, torturing and raping of innocent Kashmir's.

India has also denied justice to the Lacs of Kashmiris whose houses have been ransacked and destroyed as well as those whose children are still missing.

Kashmiris deserve their right of self-determination as guaranteed by the UN resolution as well as justice for our brethren who have brutally suffered due to atrocities and heinous crimes committed by Indian occupational forces.

"We also ask the media to stop misquoting and sensationalizing the news in order to disgrace the office of Mufti Azam Jammu & Kashmir and quote facts rather than gossip", spokesman added.
