Main Features of Budget 2014-15

Main Features of Budget 2014-15. Pakistan Finance Minister Isahq Dar will present upcoming fiscal year 2014-15 budget in National Assembly today. Budget volume for upcoming fiscal year will be Rs.3.8 trillion & 64 billion.

Rs.85 billion will allocate for Benzir Income Support program. Rs.40 billion allocate for pensions & salaries.  Rs.525 billion suggested for Development programs.

Rs.1347 billion is suggested for interest payment of loans. It is suggested to increase tax on the import of mobile handsets. Hajj pilgrims and students will exempt from tax.  5% sales tax is expected on different types of machinery spare parts.

Rs.3 billion allocated for Sukkur-Hyderabad section. Rs.4 billion and 69crore suggested for Khanewal Motorway project. Spices prices will also be increased in upcoming budget.Rs.82 billion proposed for Planning & Development projects. WAPDA will receive Rs.70 billion and 79crore for power projects.

Interior Minister will get Rs.3 billion & 90crore for developmental budget. Rs.2 billion & 35crore will allocate for Law& Justice. Aviation department will receive Rs.1 billion & 37crore. Rs.1 billion & 65crore will keep for Cabinet Division. Rs.2 billion & 26crore will allocate for Defense Division in developmental projects.

Rs.1 billion & 39crore expected for Housing & Works. Rs.30 billion will allocate for Lahore & Karachi Motorway land.
